hold acting workshop on November 17th***
-- Richard will hold an actor's
performance workshop titled "The Inside Game of Acting" on Saturday,
November 17th at Danman's Music, Dance and Acting School in Dana
Point, CA.
The workshop, which will run from 10:00am - 2:00pm, will focus
on preparation, auditioning, improvisation and performance, and is best
suited to teens and adults.
As seating is limited, early booking is encouraged. The Workshop
package costs $195 per person and includes a gourmet lunch at the
famous Renaissance Cafe.

of ABC's "Big Shots"***

Richard Burgi recently filmed an
episode of ABC's Primetime drama "Big Shots," playing wealthy adrenaline
junkie Gavin Carter in "The Way We Weren't." The episode
will air on Thursday, November 29th at 10:00pm ET/PT.
Richard's character, Gavin, is somehow key to deposed Reveal CEO Duncan
(Dylan McDermott) Collinsworth's scheme to regain his position.
According to the ABC press release, "Duncan tests his sense of adventure
as he goes to great lengths to reclaim his title at Reveal." Based
on the episode previews shown on ABC, this means cultivating the otherwise-avoided
Gavin Carter in order to get his job back; as Carter is apparently something
of a macho daredevil, Duncan soon finds himself kitted out in skydiving
gear and crouching at the door of a plane as a similarly-outfitted Gavin
extolls the virtues of their imminent jump.

Pierre as Guests of Honor at the 15th Annual Hollywood Welcomes the
Stars Gala benefit for the Marti Huizenga Boys and Girls Club, Hollywood
Unit.
The benefit was held on Thursday, October 25th 2007 from 5:30
- 8:30pm at the Westin Diplomat Country Club Resort & Spa in
Hallandale Beach, Florida. The event, which included a live auction, raised
roughly $175,000 for the Boys and Girls Club.
According to an article on the Miami
Dolphins website, The Marti Huizenga Hollywood Boys and Girls Club
"gives kids in high-risk areas a positive alternative to the streets for
a fee of $10 a year. The Hollywood Unit is the largest Boys and Girls Club
in Broward County. More than 2,000 children participate in after school
and summer activities, which include scholastic programs, computer education,
organized sports, arts & crafts, cultural events, leadership roles
and community work."

in "Thomas Kinkade's Home for Christmas"***
-- Richard Burgi spent
nearly three weeks in British Columbia, Canada, in May filming "Thomas
Kinkade's Home for Christmas," a movie based on the early life of famous
painter
Thomas Kinkade. The film covers a pivotal period in the
young Kinkade's life and explores the experiences that led him to a career
as an artist.
Richard plays Kinkade's father, Bill Kinkade, while Oscar winner
Marcia
Gay Harden plays Kinkade's mother, Maryanne. Thomas Kinkade is played
by Jared Padalecki, brother Pat Kinkade is played by Aaron Ashmore,
and Kinkade's painter mentor, Glen Wessler, is played by multiple Oscar
nominee, Peter O'Toole.
Asked about his father in an interview, Kinkade described him as "a
talented amateur artist," adding "My dad traveled the roads. He was a womanizer,
a World War II veteran, a Frank Sinatra Rat Pack wannabe and was not involved
with the family. He was a civilian employee of the Air Force after the
war and drifted from job to job."
Ken LaZebnick, who wrote the film's screenplay, gave further
details to Kate Taylor of the New York Sun, describing Bill
Kinkade
as larger than life. "He was this guy who had vast dreams and ended up
being an assistant manager at a pizza parlor in Sacramento. he took his
sons on these crazy trips, and he was an inveterate womanizer."
The film, distributed by Lionsgate, is now scheduled for a Holiday
2008 premiere.

airs November 16th and 17th on TNT, November 25th on TBS *** -- Richard
plays
Craig Martin, the "wrong place at the wrong time" realtor
husband of movie heroine Jessica (Kim Basinger) Martin. Unbeknownst
to Jessica, Craig has videotaped crooked cops executing drug dealers --
and the crooked cops are desperate to tidy up loose ends. To get Craig
and the camera, they abduct Jessica and the Martin's young son. Jessica
has one ace up her sleeve -- she's managed to patch a busted phone together
enough to tap out random phone numbers, and the guy on the other end, Ryan
(Chris Evans), is willing to help. Problem is, he's on a cellphone,
doesn't know where Jessica is... and his battery's running low.
TBS gives the following description for the film: "A random wrong
number on his cell phone sends a young man (Chris Evans) into a high-stakes
race against time to save a woman's life (Kim Basinger). With no knowledge
of Jessica Martin other than her hushed, panicked voice on the other end
of the tenuous cell phone connection, Ryan is quickly thrown into a world
of deception and murder on his frantic search to find and save her."

Richard appears in Seasons 1, 3, and 4*** -- A&E is
airing the show at 7:00am ET Monday - Friday, while the Biography
Channel appears to be shifting the show to a weekends-only rotation
-- a repeat-performance airing of an episode at 11:00am ET Saturday
and again at 4:00am Sunday. Remember to check your local listings

Richard's Captain Hunter appeared in seven episodes of Season
1, two episodes of Season 3, and three episodes of Season 4.
A&E's episode rotation is once again in Season 1, with Richard's
episode "The Agony and the Ecstasy" airing Tuesday, Sept 18th at 7:00am
ET and "Running Towards Fire" airing at 7:00am on the 19th.
The Biography Channel is now in Season 2; Richard's next episodes
begin in Season 3 with "The Second Man" and "Good-bye, Jenny".
The show is also airing in syndication in various international markets.

Richard appeared in three of the show's four seasons in a total
of twelve episodes, playing the recurring role of the prickly and suspicious

Unfortunately, the show did not take maximum advantage of the Hunter
character, though they established an intriguing back-story for him in
the first season episode "The DC Strangler." Ella Farmer (played by
the late Lynn Thigpen) told Chief Mannion (Craig T. Nelson)
a bit about Hunter. He was a highly-decorated officer with a relatively
high solve rate while in Homicide, a department he left after discovering
his wife -- also a police officer -- in bed with his partner.

While postcards, letters, and cards will be promptly forwarded
to Richard, we cannot forward packages; he has asked that no gifts
be sent to him. Though Richard appreciates the goodwill and generosity
those gifts represent, he finds them a little overwhelming. Richard
would be honored if, instead, wellwishers made a donation in his name to
a local children's shelter or literacy program, or to the Pacific
Marine Mammal Center .
