Olin on March episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ***--
Richard guests with Lena Olin (Alias, "The Reader") and Russell
G. Jones in "Confidential," the 13th episode of the current
season. "Confidential" is scheduled to air at 10:00pm ET on Wednesday,
March 10th 2010.
Richard plays Richard Morgan, a man described in casting sides
as a "Master of the Universe" -- someone who is a "slick, charming, cunning,
manipulative and regal billionaire investment banker, skyscraper-owner,
Ponzi schemer..." Morgan is also described as "disarming and likeable"
at first glance, but a "true sociopath" underneath the facade. He also
"enjoys taunting the police when interrogated."
Lena Olin plays Ingrid Block, Morgan's high-powered attorney,
while Russell Jones plays Morgan's head of security, James Hopkins.
Hopkins is apparently the first to realize a woman has been abducted from
Presumably Hopkins' discovery leads to Morgan's involvement in the case
and eventual investigation by the officers of the Special Victims Unit

Lie To Me, starring Tim Roth ***-- Richard guests in "Bullet
Bump," the 16th episode of the current season. "Bullet Bump" is
expected to air later this Spring when the show returns from hiatus.
Richard plays Governor Charles Brooks, who is described in casting
sides as "In his 40s, he's the Governor of Virginia, a polished and charismatic
dynamo who has the right stuff to go the distance -- all the way to the
White House. When a pretty young campaign volunteer is slain in an assassination
attempt apparently aimed at him, Brooks is grilled by Lightman about the
incident. However, Brooks just may be what he seems, namely, an honest
and conscientious man who had no knowledge of the crime. But Brooks also
may have deliberately blinded himself to the sleazy and unpleasant shenanigans
right under his nose, and when he's finally forced to face the truth, it's
a shattering revelation..."

||[18 Feb 10] *** "Cellular"
airs February 19th on Oxygen *** -- Richard plays
the "wrong place at the wrong time" realtor husband of movie heroine Jessica
(Kim Basinger) Martin. Unbeknownst to Jessica, Craig has videotaped
crooked cops executing drug dealers -- and the crooked cops are desperate
to tidy up loose ends. To get Craig and the camera, they abduct Jessica
and the Martin's young son. Jessica has one ace up her sleeve -- she's
managed to patch a busted phone together enough to tap out random phone
numbers, and the guy on the other end, Ryan (Chris Evans), is willing
to help. Problem is, he's on a cellphone, doesn't know where Jessica is...
and his battery's running low.
A previous TBS airing gave the following description for the
film: "A random wrong number on his cell phone sends a young man (Chris
Evans) into a high-stakes race against time to save a woman's life (Kim
Basinger). With no knowledge of Jessica Martin other than her hushed, panicked
voice on the other end of the tenuous cell phone connection, Ryan is quickly
thrown into a world of deception and murder on his frantic search to find
and save her."

||[18 Feb 10]*** Richard's Season
4 & 5 episodes of NBC's Las Vegas to air in February on TNT ***
Richard's four back-to-back Season 4 & 5 episodes of Las Vegas will
air on TNT in a "two by two" 2-day span, with "Bare Chested in The Park"
and "Junk in The Trunk" airing on Wednesday, February 24th
at 12:00 noon and 1:00pm ET respectively, and "Heroes" and "A
Hero Ain't Nothing But A Sandwich" airing at 12:00 noon and 1:00pm
on Thursday, February 25th. Originally airing on NBC in early
2007, the four episodes set up scenarios that lead into (and out of) the
cliffhanger season finale.
"Bare Chested in the Park" introduced us to one of the Bellagio
Hotel's regular "whales," Vince (Richard Burgi) Peterson, a hedge-fund
billionaire with a taste for high-stakes gambling.
Sam (Vanessa Marcil)
schemes to woo Peterson away from the Bellagio and sees to it that he is
coddled, cosseted, and carefully cultivated at the Montecito.
"Junk in the Trunk" finds Sam the new owner of the Montecito,
and one saddled with an overwhelming tax debt. Peterson wines, dines, and
woos Sam, going so far as to propose marriage on bended knee. Lured to
his suite for a romantic dinner, Sam learns Peterson has known all along
of her financial situation. Of course, she's been sipping on a drugged
flute of champagne the whole while and passes out, allowing Vince to truss
her up and stuff her into a padded steamer trunk.
"Heroes" finds Sam in dire straits, still locked away in the
cramped trunk. The depth of Peterson's depravity becomes increasingly evident
as he gleefully taunts and torments her -- seems he's done this before,
this abduction of young women, and gotten away with it. Sam is promised
a hell on earth as Vince checks out of the Montecito and heads for his
private jet, Sam in tow in her tiny trunk. Their chapter ends with Vince's
jet soaring into the night.
"A Hero Ain't Nothing but a Sandwich" opens seconds after
"Heroes" ends and finds Peterson dragging Sam out of the trunk in order
to terrify and abuse her sexually. Sam manages to pull the handle on the
jet's emergency exit and Vince makes an impromptu exit and fall to earth

disposes of; for Vicki, a different fate awaits -- Bender abducts Billy
and their daughter and gives Vicki a choice -- she can have one or the
other back, but not both, and she has 12 hours to decide.

||[18 Feb 10] *** Richard's Desperate
Housewives run as Karl Mayer draws to a close*** -- Karl, who was gradually
reintroduced into the character mix during the last month or so of Season
5, had been busy romancing, bedding, and finally proposing to the increasingly
conflicted Bree Van de Kamp Hodge (Marcia Cross) as Season 6 progressed.
Richard's contracted ten episodes came to their conclusion along with
the ill-starred romance between Karl and Bree in episodes 6.10 and 6.11,
when series creator Marc Cherry promised a shocking climax to the
"Boom Crunch," episode 6.10, served as the mid-season cliffhanger
and revolved around a small plane crashing into Wisteria Lane's outdoor
Christmas party generally and a small "Santa's Workshop" specifically,
trapping Bree, Karl, and Orson in the wreckage. The episode ended with
a closeup of a limp and bloody hand hanging from the window of the ruined
Cherry gave reporter William Keck some hints as to those fated to die
in the December 6th episode. Said Keck:
"Exec producer Marc Cherry tells me the plane crashing into Desperate
Housewives’ December 6 Christmas party will claim three characters’ lives
-- one minor, one central and one biggie who’s been on since Season 1.
As for that longtime cast member, Cherry says, “The fans are going to
be sad over this one, but it was a good time to end this character’s story
line.” (I’d start digging a grave for either Ricardo Chavira’s Carlos or
Richard Burgi’s Karl.) The producer praises his fired actor for taking
the news “with a lot of class” (unlike a certain blonde who blasted the
show after her exit last season). “This person stood up at our table read
and told everyone what a joy it was to be a part of the show,” he says."
As was revealed in the cliffhanger conclusion -- episode 6.11, titled
which aired January 3rd -- Karl died on the operating table as a
result of his injuries.
Sadly, the show chose to bid Karl adieu by presenting him in Susan and
Bree's "what if?" daydreams as the rather despicable character introduced
in Season One's "Pretty Little Picture" instead of the more complex
and sympathetic character he had evolved into after six seasons.

home address is a disquieting experience and cause for concern, especially
from the standpoint of privacy and safety. If you have come across
what you believe may be his home address, please, do NOT use it! We

While postcards, letters, and cards will be promptly forwarded
to Richard, we cannot forward packages; he has asked that no gifts

those gifts represent, he finds them a little overwhelming. Richard
